We're actively seeking a
Quality Mechanical Inspector
for an immediate opening in
Hialeah, FL . This is a
6-month contract
position with potential for extension. The role is
full-time , Monday through Friday,
40 hours per week .Key Responsibilities
Verify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology is in line with drawing intent
Work within the Quality Management system and undergo basic training on policies and procedures
Ability to read and understand drawings to pull the dimensions to create Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
Understanding of what inspection equipment and methodology would be needed to effectively measure/inspect different mechanical parts
Ability to work in SAP to upload the ITPs for each part where one is created
Required Qualifications
Previous mechanical inspection experience
Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocols
Experience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipment
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawings
Ability to work effectively within a quality management system
Qualifications
Certified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5
Experience with AS9102 (FAI)
Experience with SAP or ERP system
Experience with Certification of Conformance
Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
Knowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector
Mileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven). Untaxed. Note: SQA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
