Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment in a lumber production facility. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on saws, conveyors, kilns, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motor controls. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA70E, OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards. Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support mill operations. Assist in electrical upgrades, improvement projects, and equipment installations. Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS or other tracking systems. Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certificate preferred. Journeyman Electrician License (state-recognized) preferred not required 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience (lumber/wood products industry a plus). Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control circuits. Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems a plus. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
