Ardelyx is a publicly traded commercial biopharmaceutical company founded with a mission to discover, develop and commercialize innovative first-in-class medicines that meet significant unmet medical needs. Ardelyx has two commercial products approved in the United States, IBSRELA (tenapanor) and XPHOZAH (tenapanor). Ardelyx has agreements for the development and commercialization of tenapanor outside of the U.S. Kyowa Kirin commercializes PHOZEVEL (tenapanor) for hyperphosphatemia in Japan. A New Drug Application for tenapanor for hyperphosphatemia has been approved in China with Fosun Pharma. Knight Therapeutics commercializes IBSRELA in Canada. Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to our Chief Technical Operations Officer and Chief Patient Officer. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of their daily schedules and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, resourceful, and capable of handling a wide range of executive and project-level tasks with discretion and professionalism. Responsibilities:
- Plan and direct all administrative and operational activities for the Chief Technical Operations Officer and Chief Patient Officer with proactive time management and cross-functional alignment
- Manage and prioritize the calendar, including scheduling internal and external meetings, coordinating travel, and making adjustments as needed to align with changing priorities
- Support cross-functional initiatives by coordinating meetings, tracking deadlines, organizing resources, and seeking project alignment with major stakeholders
- Manage and reconcile expense reports and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies, for the Chief Technical Operations Officer and Chief Patient Officer, as well as other leadership team members as needed
- Collaborate and coordinate across the organization, including creating efficiency across the administrative peer group and providing back-up support for other Executive Assistants
- Maintain discretion when completing projects containing sensitive or confidential details, including producing information by transcribing, formatting, editing, transmitting data and graphics
- BA/BS degree with 6 - 9 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or related experience, preferably in a high-growth biopharma, healthcare, or life sciences environment or equivalent experience
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with keen attention to detail and ability to think proactively to prioritize work
- Exceptional communication skills with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with expense and travel management systems
- Proven experience exercising discretion and confidentiality with sensitive company information
- Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, prioritization, and problem-solving ability to meet deadlines
- Exhibit composure and professionalism in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and high emotional intelligence
