Job Title: Shipping & Receiving Associate

Full-Time Position

Courion - St. Louis, MO

Courion is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to handle daily shipping and receiving operations, including preparing outbound shipments, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining an organized warehouse. In addition to standard shipping duties, this position has an additional primary responsibility of building pallets and crates used to package Courion's custom freight elevator products. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-minded, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team to meet customer delivery commitments. About Us

Requirements Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. • Technical or vocational training in shipping, logistics, or woodworking preferred but not required. Experience:

• Experience in shipping & receiving or warehouse operations in a manufacturing environment preferred. • Experience operating forklifts and material handling equipment preferred. • Experience building wood pallets, crates, or custom packaging preferred. Technical Skills:

• Proficient with standard shipping functions, including packing, labeling, documentation, and scheduling freight carriers. • Ability to safely operate power tools including radial arm saws, circular saws, pneumatic nailers, and air guns. • Skilled in the use of measuring tools and capable of reading basic shop drawings for crate dimensions. • Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards. Soft Skills:

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills. • Reliable and self-motivated with a sense of ownership over work quality. • Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with production and office staff. • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and on-time delivery. Duties and Responsibilities Shipping & Receiving Operations

• Prepare, package, and stage outbound shipments in accordance with customer schedules and specifications. • Load and unload trucks using forklifts and pallet jacks. • Verify incoming materials against packing lists and purchase orders. • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments. • Work closely with production and office staff to prioritize and coordinate shipments. Pallet and Crate Construction

• Build custom wooden pallets and crates to safely package Courion freight elevator equipment for shipment. • Read drawings or specifications to determine crate sizes and materials needed. • Operate radial arm saws, circular saws, pneumatic nailers, and other woodworking tools to build durable packaging. • Inspect all crates for safety, strength, and dimensional accuracy before use. Warehouse Maintenance and Safety

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris. • Monitor supplies of shipping materials, wood stock, and fasteners; notify supervisor when replenishment is needed. • Follow all safety procedures, including the use of PPE and proper lifting techniques. • Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing efforts to streamline warehouse operations. Full time - Non-Exempt Customary Work Hours: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday (with occasional overtime as needed) Location: Courion, St. Louis, Missouri
