Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their QA Automation Engineer position! This is a 12+ month contract opportunity and can be remote in the United States (EST working hours). This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a QA Automation Engineer with a comprehensive skill set in automation, UI, API, and mobile application testing. This person will take ownership of automating UI tests using nightwatch.js, and Page Object Model (POM) design pattern. The ideal candidate has a strong background in automated testing, GitHub, Azure DevOps, BrowserStack, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.
What You'll Be Doing: Develop and implement the overall testing strategy, test plans, and test cases. Identify testing scope and requirements, estimate testing efforts, and prioritize testing activities. Manage test cases and report defects using Azure DevOps. Design, develop, and execute automated UI tests using nightwatch.js and Page Object Model (POM). Develop and execute API tests to validate functionality and reliability. Conduct mobile application testing across various devices and platforms. Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing with BrowserStack. Maintain and improve the test automation framework to accommodate future tests. Collaborate actively within an Agile development team, engaging with software developers and other stakeholders. Stay up to date with current best practices, industry trends, and developments in the testing field. Identify potential challenges and bottlenecks in the testing process and proactively address them. What You'll Need to Have:
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript programming languages. Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience in QA Automation, UI testing, API testing, and mobile application testing. Experience with front-end automation using Selenium and/or nightwatch.js. Experience with GitHub for version control and source code management. Strong understanding of NPM module and package management. Strong understanding of remote execution tools like Selenium Grid and BrowserStack. Experience working with Azure DevOps for project tracking and test case management. Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Pay Range:
$45-$65/hr
