The
Test Lead
will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end quality assurance (QA) processes within the software development life cycle (SDLC), ensuring that testing methodologies, metrics, and industry standards are effectively implemented. The role demands strong expertise in test management, SDLC methodologies, and automated testing frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the
Banking or Financial domain , with experience leading testing teams and managing quality assurance in complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
Test Management & Leadership:
Lead and manage the testing team, ensuring the execution of all testing activities in accordance with project requirements. Define testing objectives, strategies, and detailed plans to ensure alignment with business goals and software quality requirements. Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of all testing activities (functional, regression, performance, UAT).
QA Process Improvement & Reporting:
Define goals and measurement plans for software process performance in alignment with business objectives. Compile and interpret detailed reports on test results, defects, and overall software quality. Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to increase test efficiency and coverage.
Test Strategy & Methodologies:
Lead the development of comprehensive test strategies and plans based on project needs and the development lifecycle (including
Waterfall
and
Agile ). Ensure the application of industry-standard testing practices and tools throughout the testing process. Manage end-to-end test execution, including test case design, execution, defect tracking, and test reporting.
Tool Proficiency & Test Automation:
Oversee and use tools such as
HP ALM Quality Centre ,
Confluence ,
JIRA , and others to manage testing efforts effectively. Ensure the use of automated testing frameworks for continuous integration, including tools such as
Git/Bitbucket ,
Maven ,
Postman ,
soapUI , and others. Mentor team members in automated testing techniques and best practices.
Domain Knowledge:
Utilize deep understanding of
Banking
and
Financial
domains to tailor testing processes for relevant software applications. Conduct thorough system analysis, software assessments, and troubleshooting to resolve application issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Test Management & Leadership:
Minimum
5 years
of experience in
Test Lead
roles, with at least
2 years
specifically as a Test Lead. Strong knowledge of
IT QA ,
E2E test management , and
SDLC . Expertise in
testing methodologies
(Waterfall, Agile, etc.),
testing metrics , and
automated testing frameworks .
Tools & Frameworks:
Hands-on experience with
HP ALM Quality Centre ,
JIRA ,
Confluence , and other project management and test tools. Proficiency in tools such as
Git ,
Bitbucket ,
Maven ,
Postman ,
soapUI , and related testing tools.
Domain Expertise:
Must have worked in the
Banking
or
Financial
domain, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and requirements in this sector.
Reporting & Analysis:
Extensive experience in
system analysis ,
assessment , and
troubleshooting
of software applications. Ability to compile and interpret detailed testing reports to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
