Role and responsibilities: ? Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Designing and implementing new functionality that is testable and performant with limited oversight and guidance following best practices and approved code patterns. Operating within the various elements of Charter's applicable technical systems and the impacts of their work on the organization's outcomes. Understanding and applying different SDLC processes, particularly Agile and Scrum; participates fully in Scrum rituals. Understanding and applying applicable technology security and industry regulatory and legal compliance considerations. Identifying fixes to defects raised. Identifying system integration issues. Leading code review, debugging, and testing of software applications. Providing an LOE on a project / feature level. Developing software independently and write testable and performant code. Developing technical requirements and technical design documents. Supporting major deployments and resolve critical deployment issues. Collaborating with other team members to identify and solve technical problems. Responding to customer inquiries around the behavior of the developed software. Mentoring Software Developer I and Software Developer IIs.

Required Qualifications

Education BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience 2+ years database management systems 2+ years coding, testing, and designing software 2+ years software development methodologies

Skills Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Demonstrated knowledge of one major programming language/tool Demonstrated knowledge of coding language and syntax, usage of functions and object-oriented patterns Demonstrated knowledge of environments, docker images, container runtimes, and cloud native app development Demonstrated knowledge of dependent systems, e.g., up/downstream APIs, Salesforces, data stores Demonstrated knowledge of design patterns and software architecture patterns Demonstrated knowledge of production operations of developed software Ability to work on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action Ability to apply company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues Ability to break down assigned projects into manageable tasks and completes within a given timeframe Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively without oversight Showcases Project / Feature level work to their team and senior technical leadership Functional negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives. Use Apex to execute flow and transaction control statements on Salesforce servers in conjunction with calls to the API. Use Lightning Component, Visualforce, and JavaScript UI frameworks for developing single page applications for desktop and mobile in the Salesforce application. Use web services, including SOAP API, REST API, Bulk API, and Metadata API, to integrate Salesforce with systems and create APIs that can be consumed by external applications. Use SOQL and SOSL Salesforce database languages to search Salesforce data using field based and text-based search queries. Project Management: Responsible for working with PMO for project planning and task allocation, and overseeing the development process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. Code Quality and Standards: Enforcing coding standards, conducting thorough code reviews, and setting a high bar for code quality are crucial responsibilities. Collaboration and Communication: Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and QA engineers, is essential for project success. Technical Strategy: Developing and implementing the technical strategy for projects, including the selection of appropriate tools and technologies. Promote continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization, implementing best practices, and staying updated on industry trends. Identifying and mitigating technical risks and ensuring that the project adheres to security and compliance standards. Salesforce or Stakeholder They should have direct interactions with Salesforces or stakeholders, providing technical insights and guidance. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Encouraging and facilitating documentation of code, APIs, and technical decisions to promote knowledge sharing within the team."
