Job Store Staffing
is seeking a Receiving Clerk for a client in the South Englewood area. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for handling inbound shipments, verifying that orders match purchase documentation, inspecting product condition, photographing furniture items, and entering all relevant data into the inventory system. This role requires strong computer skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle physical products safely and efficiently. The Receiving Clerk position is temporary through December with the opportunity to go on permanent for the right candidate! This is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door.
Pay/ Hours:
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
$20-22/hr
Key Responsibilities
: Receive incoming shipments of furniture, fixtures, and related goods. Unload, unpack, and stage items for inspection. Verify contents of shipments against packing slips or purchase orders. Inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and document any issues. Photograph each furniture item as required for quality control. Enter all receiving data into the warehouse management system, including quantities, SKUs, condition notes, and serial numbers. Move received goods to appropriate storage locations or staging areas. Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs using proper technique and safety practices. Qualifications & Skills
:
Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role, particularly handling furniture or large goods. Experience using warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, or inventory software. Strong computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and database or inventory systems. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
