Quality Control Technician
6:00am - 4:30pm - Watertown, CT
Position Overview:
As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the company's quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting materials, components, and finished products, identifying defects, and collaborating with the production team to address quality issues.
Key Responsibilities: Perform inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards. Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to assess product dimensions and tolerances. Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality checks and test outcomes. Identify and report non-conformities, collaborating with relevant departments to implement corrective actions. Assist in the development and refinement of quality control procedures and protocols. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on quality trends and potential areas for process enhancement. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to product quality. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field preferred. Prior experience in quality control or inspection within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in using measurement and testing equipment. Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team setting. Working Conditions:
Standing for extended periods and handling materials as required. Exposure to manufacturing environment with noise and machinery. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
