Role Description:As Saatva expands its offline footprint, the Senior Data Analyst / Data Scientist – Market Expansion & Operations Analytics will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's next phase of growth. This hybrid role blends advanced analytics, data storytelling, and strategic influence—bridging business intelligence and data science to guide executive decision-making.
You will design models that identify new market opportunities, evaluate the incremental impact of Viewing Rooms, and forecast downstream effects across fulfillment, delivery, and customer operations. Beyond analytics, this role emphasizes turning data into action—crafting presentations that distill complexity into clear, executive-ready recommendations that directly inform Saatva's growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities:Market Expansion & Opportunity Sizing- Develop market models that evaluate potential Viewing Room locations using demographic, competitive, and customer datasets.
- Quantify the brand, revenue, and customer-lifetime-value lift driven by existing offline markets using geo-based and causal modeling approaches.
- Build DMA-level forecasting models to inform site selection and prioritize investments based on growth potential and operational feasibility.
- Partner with Real Estate, Strategy, and Marketing to align market expansion with demand trends and long-term brand objectives.
- Analyze fulfillment and logistics data to model delivery efficiency, capacity utilization, and the operational impact of regional growth.
- Identify and quantify opportunities to optimize order routing, delivery speed, and cost per order while preserving customer experience.
- Monitor and forecast key performance metrics such as ERW (Exchange/Return/Warranty), cancellations, and delivery SLAs to ensure operational readiness as expansion scales.
- Craft visually engaging, data-backed presentations and dashboards that influence decision-making across executive and cross-functional audiences.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations, connecting quantitative findings to strategic priorities.
- Partner with leadership to build narratives around performance trends, growth drivers, and operational implications of expansion scenarios.
- Establish frameworks for experimentation, A/B testing, and forecasting that drive continuous learning and performance improvement.
- Collaborate with Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, and Operations to embed insights into planning models and KPI dashboards.
- Mentor junior analysts and establish standards for analytical rigor, reproducibility, and visualization best practices.
- Work closely with digital tools and data engineering teams to enhance access to clean, well-structured data across systems.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics or data science, ideally within retail, omnichannel, or consumer-focused industries.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python (pandas, scikit-learn, statsmodels), and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with spatial analytics (drive-time modeling, DMA analysis, geospatial clustering) strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to craft compelling presentations and communicate insights to senior leadership.
- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, or similar CDPs is a plus—especially integrating customer, marketing, and operational datasets.
- Familiarity with forecasting, experimentation design, and causal inference techniques.
- High attention to detail and comfort operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Salary Range: $100,000–$110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined in accordance with applicable state and local laws.
