Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. As a key member of the office operations, you will handle a variety of administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of daily activities. This is a long-term contract position ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a proactive attitude. Responsibilities:
- Receive and distribute mail and deliveries promptly to the appropriate individuals.
- Scan and send documents electronically to ensure timely communication.
- Prepare outgoing mail, FedEx shipments, and courier packages as needed.
- Set up conference rooms for meetings and arrange group lunches when necessary.
- Welcome visitors and escort them professionally to designated offices or conference rooms.
- Address inquiries from staff, clients, vendors, and office guests in a courteous manner.
- Restock office and kitchen supplies while maintaining inventory levels.
- Assist with general administrative tasks to support office operations. Requirements - Proven experience in receptionist or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in document scanning and electronic communication tools.
- Ability to manage inbound calls and provide excellent customer service.
- Strong organizational skills to handle clerical and administrative duties.
- Familiarity with preparing mail and courier packages.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with visitors and staff.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain supply inventories.
