We're seeking a diligent, detail-driven professional to provide vital expertise in support of our manufacturing process engineering activities. We're looking to optimize our efforts in safety, quality, and productivity. This involves applying engineering principles and analytical techniques to advance continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products. Provide manufacturing engineering leadership throughout a new model development program through Ok to Buy + 45 days.
Implementation of new/modified tooling and facilities based on product and process changes.
Lead manufacturing assembly builds (DCV, TT, PP, MP1 and MP2) in Canada, Mexico & US assembly plants.
Identify and drive resolution of manufacturing related issues.
Write tooling design/build/installation scopes of work.
Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site. In addition, support tooling buy-off @ vendor facility.
Drive quality, cost, and labor improvements
Develop plant layouts and drive Cycle Line Layouts.
Support resolution of Major Architecture and High Investment Plant High Hurts to help mitigate Launch risks in Forward Model Development
Document and present Lessons Learned to core to either create or update Mfg. Extended travel to assembly plants in US, Canada, and/or Mexico required
Bachelor's degree or a combination of equivalent experience and education
3+ years' Automotive Manufacturing Engineering experience•
3+ years' experience w/tooling, processes, and facilities
3+ years' CAD experience
Bachelor's degree in engineering
Solid understanding of statistics (control charts, data collecting, etc.)
Knowledge in one or more of the following Ford software systems: Water test, End of Line
Proven experience in manufacturing, including CAD design and tooling design.
Previous project management experience.
Manufacturing experience in general or final assembly
