Robert Half is seeking an MS Access and Asset Data Management Analyst to support a public transit organization based in Portland, Oregon.
This role involves supporting the (TAM) program through the implementation of a new Asset-to-Project Mapping system in Microsoft Access. The position will focus on managing and improving asset data, linking physical infrastructure to capital projects, and ensuring accurate lifecycle modeling for long-term planning.

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance the TERM-Lite MS Access database used for asset lifecycle modeling and capital replacement planning.
- Clean, organize, and validate large asset data sets in Access and Excel.
- Develop and modify Access tables, queries, reports, and VBA modules to improve functionality and reporting accuracy.
- Build and maintain asset-to-project mappings based on geography, hierarchy, and condition data.
- Support the rollout of the TERM-Lite APM enhancement, working alongside senior analysts and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with asset owners, engineers, and capital planning staff to align asset data with real-world conditions.
- Create process documentation and user guides to standardize future data updates.
- Provide recommendations to improve asset inventory accuracy and reporting consistency.
- 5+ years of Experience as a Data Analyst
- Advanced MS Access experience (queries, relationships, reports, and forms).
- Strong SQL skills for writing and modifying queries.
- Experience using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for database automation and customization.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, data analysis).
- Experience with relational databases and asset or data management.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of asset lifecycle concepts or experience in transit, utilities, or public infrastructure preferred.
- Power BI/Tableau and GIS experience a plus
