Description We are seeking a seasoned Director of Accounting to lead the day-to-day operations of our client's Accounting Department. This role involves managing a team of accounting professionals and ensuring that financial processes and reporting are executed in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the Accounting Department and supervise assigned staff.
- Provide accounting support for organizational initiatives including new products/services, system upgrades, mergers/acquisitions, and expenditures.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of accounting infrastructure and general ledger systems.
- Ensure accurate financial transaction recording and compliance with applicable standards.
- Stay current with changes in accounting pronouncements and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance on financial statement preparation, budgeting, and asset/liability management.
- Lead staff training, development, and performance management.
- Implement cost- and time-saving processes to enhance departmental efficiency.
