Description Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in Fresno, California. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead financial operations while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in manufacturing accounting and inventory management, along with a strong ability to manage teams and implement systems effectively. Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and cash flow projections.
- Lead efforts in inventory management and cost accounting, with a focus on manufacturing operations.
- Implement and optimize financial systems, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
- Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team, fostering growth and collaboration.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop financial models and analyze product-line profitability.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial reporting processes and systems.
- Design and execute strategies for system implementation and integration, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management or supervisory roles.
- Strong background in manufacturing and cost accounting; experience in the beverage industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and WineDirect preferred, or similar mid-tier systems like Sage or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and optimize financial systems from the ground up.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including creating complex financial formulas and reports.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and automated financial reporting systems.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
