Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial functions, including invoice matching, data entry, and accounts payable/receivable processing. Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and assist in month-end and year-end financial closings.
- Generate financial reports and assist with audits by providing requested documentation.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
- Enter and update financial data in accounting software systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- Monitor overdue accounts and perform collection activities as needed.
- Respond to vendor and client inquiries regarding billing and payment issues.
- Support other accounting and administrative duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with basic accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with payroll processing or financial statement preparation is a plus.
