Description We are looking for a meticulous Accounting Clerk to join our team in Torrance, California, within the automotive industry. This is a Contract-to-permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity for growth and stability. The ideal candidate will contribute to tariff calculations, supplier chargebacks, and administrative invoice processing while ensuring precision and timeliness in all tasks. Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed tariff calculations and oversee supplier chargeback processes, including communication with international suppliers.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales Manager to meet financial reporting and documentation requirements.
- Process invoices and support administrative tasks to ensure smooth departmental operations.
- Utilize advanced Excel tools, including pivot tables and formulas, for data analysis and reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to chargebacks and supplier communications.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures in all accounting activities.
- Provide analytical support to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency in accounting processes.
- Assist in developing and maintaining systems for tracking financial data and supplier transactions. Requirements - Proven experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, such as v-lookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
- Familiarity with accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and QuickBooks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong aptitude for problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to manage data entry and invoice processing with accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams.
- Capability to work onsite in Torrance, California.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
