Century Group is partnering with a leading utilities company in Orange County area. They are looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. This role will report directly to the controller and execute wide range of accounting duties within the Finance and Accounting team. This position is 100% remote. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $120,000 to $130,000 per year. Job Description:

- Responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts including bank reconciliations, revenue invoicing, fixed assets, accounts payable, assist in the creation of financial statements and variance analyses.
- Prepare quarterly or annual financial statements to comply with financial reporting requirements under the agreements with 3rd parties such as tax equity investors, and lenders/banks.
- Collaborate with Treasury on cash management, debt payments, partnership distributions and ad hoc requests.
- Identify and assist in the implementation of needed improvements in processes affecting the Accounting Team.
- Strong Financial Reporting experience
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills
- Able to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
- Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- A minimum of 5 years' in Accounting or relevant experience
- Energy Industry experience is a plus
