- Lead and manage month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Prepare and review financial statements to support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Coordinate and provide support for financial statement audits, addressing auditor inquiries and ensuring smooth processes.
- Perform account reconciliations to maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Implement and monitor accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor accounting team members, fostering their growth and development.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
- Stay up to date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, applying them as necessary.
- Proven experience in accounting management or supervision, particularly in month-end close processes.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger functions and account reconciliation.
- Familiarity with financial statement preparation and audit processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Effective leadership and communication skills to manage a team and collaborate across departments.
