Accounting Officer (remote) Job at Robert Half in Statesville

Robert Half client is in need of an Accounts Payable specialist for a contract. The AP Specialist will be responsible for matching, batching and coding invoices to the general ledger. Entering and uploading invoices into accounting software + Providing supporting documentation for audits + Researching and resolving accounts payable or accounts receivable issues with customers or vendors + Updating and reconciling the sub-ledger to the general ledger + Maintaining cash applications, account reconciliations and chargebacks Education: An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. + Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in accounts payable. + Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP; advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g., Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for vendor correspondence and teamwork (Source: Finance and accounting professionals in highest demand). + Ability to research, identify, and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable processes. + We offer contract, temporary and permanent placement solutions for finance and accounting, technology, marketing and creative, legal, and administrative and customer support roles.
