Robert Half is hiring: Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Dallas

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting functions, including monthly close processes, payroll, and financial reporting, while ensuring compliance with auditing standards. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys collaborating across teams. Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly close processes for accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and general ledger modules.
• Supervise, perform, and review journal entries as well as balance sheet reconciliations.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for balance sheets and income statements to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and review monthly cash flow reports and comprehensive reporting packages.
• Oversee and approve bi-monthly payroll processes for over 450 employees across three locations, including salaried and non-exempt staff.
• Review and manage stock transactions, including stock options, grants, and their implications for W-2 and 1099 reporting.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors on various audits, including workers' compensation, 401K, and financial audits.
• Lead the corporate intercompany reconciliation process to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate effectively across teams and departments to align on accounting processes and objectives.
• Participate in ad hoc projects aimed at improving business processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements - Proven experience in managing month-end close processes and general ledger activities.

• Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and compliance requirements.
• Expertise in account reconciliation and preparing accurate journal entries.
• Proficiency in analyzing financial data and preparing variance reports.
• Familiarity with payroll processes for large-scale employee bases.
• Experience with stock transaction reporting for W-2 and 1099 income.
• Ability to work collaboratively with auditors and cross-functional teams.
• Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities effectively.
