Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Greater Tampa area, FL
Employment Type: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong background in manufacturing to join a growing team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payments while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process high-volume vendor invoices and match with purchase orders and receipts.
Verify accuracy of invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper coding to GL accounts.
Manage payment runs, including ACH, wire transfers, and checks.
Reconcile vendor statements and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Assist with month-end closing activities and AP reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to resolve invoice and payment issues.
Qualifications
~ Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor’s preferred).
~ Experience:
~3+ years of Accounts Payable experience.
~ Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of ERP systems
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Attributes
Familiarity with inventory and cost accounting principles.
Experience with three-way matching and high-volume invoice processing.
