- Front Office Management: Greet and assist students, parents, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Answer and direct all incoming phone calls.
- Student Services: Manage student attendance records, including tardies and absences. Handle new student enrollment, transfers, and withdrawals, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
- Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the principal and other school staff. This includes managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and preparing correspondence.
- Record Keeping: Maintain confidential student records and staff files with precision and in accordance with school policies and regulations.
- Office Operations: Order and maintain office supplies, manage office equipment, and ensure the front office area is organized and running smoothly.
Qualifications and Skills
- Required: High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Previous secretarial or administrative experience, especially within a school setting.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Suite. Experience with student information systems is a plus, but training will be provided.
- Interpersonal Skills: Must possess excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to interact positively with children, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
- Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism: A high degree of professionalism, dependability, and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
