As an Epic Manager specializing in Ambulatory Applications, you will lead transformative Epic initiatives that strengthen patient care and operational efficiency. Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for Epic Ambulatory applications, including planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and optimization. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of Epic-certified analysts and support staff. Collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leaders to align IT capabilities with organizational strategies and clinical workflows. Serve as the primary point of contact for ambulatory application projects, ensuring exceptional customer service and satisfaction. Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and resource allocation for system initiatives. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Meaningful Use, and other applicable regulations and standards. Monitor system performance, lead troubleshooting, and oversee upgrades and enhancements with Epic representatives. Track KPIs and metrics, drive continuous improvement, and lead change management and training initiatives. Must-Have Skills: Bachelors degree in Health Informatics, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Minimum 57 years of Epic systems experience, with at least 3 years in a management or leadership role. Must live in MN or WI and be willing to commute onsite approx. 1x per week. Proven experience implementing and supporting Epic Ambulatory modules in a healthcare environment. Current Epic Ambulatory certification Strong leadership and team management skills with a collaborative approach. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Thorough understanding of ambulatory clinical workflows and IT best practices. Nice-to-Have Skills: Masters degree in a relevant field. Additional Epic module certifications (e.g., Security, Cadence, MyChart). Experience with ITIL, Agile, or other IT service management frameworks. Participation in governance committees or strategic planning sessions. Expertise in evaluating and integrating emerging healthcare technologies.
