About the Role As a member of our Hardware Team, you will support the design, development and manufacturing of Verkada’s full product line. Verkada’s Hardware Sustaining Engineers ensure that we are always shipping high quality products to our customers.
What You’ll Do Evaluate and debug field failures in collaboration with electrical and mechanical engineers
Support products from initial mass production through end of life
Follow‑up on RMA trends, report on quality/RMA status to cross‑functional teams and drive corrective action back through manufacturing as necessary
Communicate and visit with customers to understand deployment issues
Review and define quality test standards to minimize design quality issues
Audit and evaluate JDM quality systems, define manufacturing quality metrics, monitor production quality and work with JDM partners to drive continuous improvement
Work with JDM on continuous improvement on yields and process/test stability
Work with the JDM partners on qualifying new component sources
Work with the Hardware team through EVT, DVT and pilot production to help ensure a high quality product
What You Bring BS in Electrical Engineering (MS preferred)
2+ years of experience in developing and manufacturing new electronics products
Strong analytical problem solving skills to evaluate and debug RMAs
Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week
Ability to travel up to 20%

Annual Pay Range At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs).
$95,000 - $160,000 USD
