We are searching for an entry-level Accounting Clerk to join an amazing non-profit organization. This position will be responsible for cost accounting, auditing expenses; maintain accounting records and providing support relating to day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting Department. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $26 to $27 per hour.

Job Description:
  • Record cash receipts.
  • Record and reconcile donations.
  • Prepare and record AR invoices, including mailing out invoices.
  • AR collection.
  • GL reconciliation.
  • Perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to communicate with professionals at all levels
  • Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work independently in fast paced, complex and dynamic environment

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution strongly preferred.
  • Two years' experience in accounting preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting Functions- AP, AR, GL, and Sub Ledgers preferred.
  • Experience with Abila (Sage) MIP 100 Accounting software or comparable software strongly preferred.
  • Experience with web-based time and attendance, staff training and development system strongly preferred.
