A leading healthcare company is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager. The Senior Accounting Manager oversees the Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions, ensuring accurate transaction recording, timely vendor payments, proper cash application, and goal-setting for cash receipts and payable invoice processing. Additionally, the Senior Accounting Manager plays a significant role in sales tax reconciliation, annual 1099 reporting, and credit monitoring for customers. - Mentor the AR Supervisor while establishing and measuring collection goals.
- Ensure timely completion of banking entries by the team.
- Handle state inquiries related to sales tax returns.
- Review customer credit limits and propose changes as needed.
- Monitor daily credit holds, release per policy, and escalate issues to upper management when necessary.
- Manage A/P weekly disbursement runs, ensuring correct invoice processing and timely payments.
- Supervise 3 AP staff and set measurable goals for invoice processing.
- Prepare the monthly supplier spend report for Purchasing.
- Document procedures and streamline transaction processing for efficiency.
- Complete assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to sales tax.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate strong MS Excel skills.
- Apply a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Interact professionally with others and exhibit good phone skills.
Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 8 years of accounting experience.
