Recreation Supervisor (Seasonal) – Hotel del Coronado, A Curio Collection by Hilton
Join the iconic Hotel del Coronado, a Victorian beach resort in San Diego, to oversee pool and recreation operations as a seasonal full‑time supervisor. This role reports to the Director of Recreation and Recreation Manager.
About the Hotel Hotel del Coronado spans 28 acres and opened in 1888. It features over 750 rooms, 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets including four restaurants, two bars, a food truck, a marketplace, an ice cream shop, and in‑room dining.
Classification and Shift Full‑time Seasonal. Various shifts – must be available weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Pay The pay rate for this role is $30.00 per hour, based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
Responsibilities Assists the Director of Recreation and Recreation Manager in overseeing all pool and recreation operations, including activities, service, food and beverage, cleanliness and functionality of facilities. Performs team member duties when business levels require. Assists in monitoring revenue, costs and financial performance. Trains, supervises, schedules and assists in evaluating staff.
Assist outlets with daily tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Execute special projects to fulfill long‑term goals.
Order and retrieve inventory from the hotel purchasing department and other vendors.
Communicate with clients and guests to prepare group reservations.
Print reports and conduct daily meetings to keep team members informed.
Continuously monitor attendant’s performance and offer coaching and assistance as needed.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training of new team members.
Maintain a safe and clean departmental working environment.
