Role: Construction Manager (Water/Wastewater)
Arcadis is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Construction Management Team in Atlanta, Georgia.
Reporting to the Construction Management Area Manager, the successful candidate will manage design services during construction, support field inspectors, manage project documentation, and lead projects for municipal water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, storage facilities, pipelines, and related construction projects.
Responsibilities
Provide overall construction phase project and construction management services.
Coordinate and manage design‑related services during construction, including submittal reviews, RFI reviews, change management, schedule management, document management, risk management, quality management, and project close‑out.
Prepare monthly progress reports and serve as the project’s point of contact for owners, contractors, and engineering teams.
Prepare requests for change proposals, review contractor claims, and prepare change orders and work change directives.
Monitor contractor progress, ensure compliance with contract documents, and process contractor payment applications.
Analyze and report on contractor CPM baseline schedules and monthly updates.
Attend and conduct pre‑construction conferences, project meetings, and related project meetings.
Observe construction activities at key milestones, conduct substantial completion inspections and prepare punch lists, conduct final completion inspections.
Provide record drawings based on contractor as‑built drawings.
Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of project management experience in water or wastewater pipeline, plant, or pump station projects.
Experience in project management of design‑related services during construction, construction management related services, schedule and cost management.
Strong communication and team‑building skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, SharePoint, Outlook) and document management software.
Preferred Qualifications
15+ years of responsible project management experience.
DBIA certification, PE license, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through CMAA.
Experience in wastewater and water process, storage, and conveyance type projects.
