Salary:
Based on experience and will be discussed with the manager in interview
Responsibilities
Civil/site engineering and design for government buildings, test stands, recreational facilities, roadways, parking lots, laboratory facilities, etc.
Perform boring layout for utility clearance, supervising drill rigs, classifying soils, logging borings.
Perform and supervise field exploration, including SPT sampling, rock coring, pile testing.
Assist in developing various layouts, drawings, and designs.
Work under supervision of a project manager or senior‑level team member.
Work knowledge of AutoCAD and slope stability analysis.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
1‑3 years of experience as a Geotechnical engineer.
1‑3 years of experience preparing Geotechnical Engineering reports (site investigations, soil analysis, foundation recommendations).
Experience and skill in application of CAD software, especially Civil 3D.
At least 1 year of experience on GDOT projects preferred.
Ability and willingness to assist designers, drafters, and other staff members when needed.
Effective communication with internal and external partners (clients, subconsultants, utility companies).
Valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Physical Requirements
Physically mobile on construction sites and field assignments.
Ability to carry required instruments and equipment.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Work subject to variable climate and environmental conditions, including extreme cold and heat.
