Withum is looking for a Valuation Senior Associate to join its Forensic and Valuation Services Group within the Corporate Value Consulting team. The position can be based in any U.S. office.

How You’ll Spend Your Time
Oversee valuation analyses for tax, financial reporting, and advisory purposes (enterprise values, stock options, warrants, convertible debt, equity allocations across complex capital structures, and other complex securities/derivatives) primarily in Excel.
Implement and improve processes for valuations and prepare reports, letters, and other deliverables.
Assist in reviewing third‑party appraisals for audit support purposes.
Develop, maintain, and apply models using Excel and VBA for Monte Carlo simulations, lattices, or other complex methods.
Review and understand necessary tax and financial reporting guidance governing the analysis.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or a similar quantitative discipline.
At least 2 years performing valuations for financial reporting purposes (ASC 805, ASC 305, ASC 820, ASC 718).
In‑depth understanding of valuation methods such as discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing.
Experience valuing complex financial instruments strongly preferred.
Valuation‑related certification (ASA, CVA, ABV, CEIV, or CFA) preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Excel and Capital IQ preferred.
Ability to program in VBA and/or other statistical package a plus.
Capacity to work independently on projects.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation Salary ranges are $70,000 – $100,000 based on location (California, NYC, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, Washington). Withum offers a competitive benefits package and a bonus program, with final offers based on role, location, and individual qualifications.
