We’re hiring a Staff Accountant to join a dynamic accounting department that serves multiple offices. The ideal candidate will be an adaptable multitasker and polished communicator who thrives on utilizing technology and implementing new creative processes. The candidate must also be a team player who is committed to change, growth, collaboration, and advancement!
Responsibilities
Monitor cash flow via supervision of daily bank activity.
Reconcile bank accounts daily.
Process bi‑weekly payroll and prepare required monthly reports.
Perform month‑end closing activities, maintain general ledger, and record journal entries to support auditable, accurate financial statements in a deadline‑driven environment (10‑day month‑end close timeline).
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany transactions.
Prepare monthly depreciation / amortization entries.
Review divisional financials with the Controller and other executives, preparing and submitting necessary adjustments or accruals within appropriate closing cycles.
Prepare monthly financial statements, including a Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and a Statement of Cash Flow.
Provide support in preparation of the property tax returns.
Assist with the preparation of annual audit schedules.
Promote teamwork and quality of service through daily communication and coordination with the various departments.
Partner cross‑functionally to understand business transactions and ensure that transactional activities are complete and coded accurately.
Consistently look to implement efficiencies in processes and procedures by making recommendations to the Controller.
Job Qualifications (Required Skills)

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
2-3+ years of progressive accounting experience with general understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Must possess a strong understanding of and ability to use accounting software; experience using QuickBooks is a strong plus.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive base salary based on experience, plus quarterly bonus structure.
Ten (10) days of paid time off (PTO) per year.
Seven (7) paid holidays per year.
