Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Cardiology - Heart Failure - Cobb
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for busy and well established heart failure clinic. Manage and coordinate the healthcare of cardiology/heart failure patients in the outpatient setting at clinic near Wellstar Cobb Hospital, approximately 25 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, GA.
WellStar Center for Cardiovascular Care is the largest and most comprehensive provider of cardiovascular services in northwest Georgia, with 11 hospitals and 30 office locations. Our team of 100+ physicians and 90+ APPs provides care for the entire spectrum of cardiac patients.
Work Shift Day (United States of America)
Responsibilities
Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to heart failure patients and families.
Actively participate in daily medical management of heart failure patients.
Document, maintain, and review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information in our EMR system (EPIC).
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Georgia.
Certification as a Family, Adult-Gerontology, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or NCCPA certification for PAs.
Minimum of 2–3 years experience in cardiology, preferably with advanced heart failure or transplant experience.
Strong clinical knowledge of heart failure pathophysiology, pharmacology, and device therapies.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and manage complex clinical scenarios.
