CT Technologist

Computed tomography (CT) technologists operate CT scanners to produce cross-sectional images of patients’ internal organs and tissues for diagnosis. They must interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, operate equipment, and position patients for optimal images.
Work Schedule:
Evenings/nights from 11:00 am – 9:30 pm or 8:30 pm – 7:00 am, with a 4-day schedule involving 3 second shifts and 1 night shift, Tuesday through Friday.
A successful candidate will:
Review patient chart data and requisitions to determine correct setup and identify medical issues or contraindications.
Educate patients about procedures to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Maintain all aspects of the CT area, including technical and clerical components, to ensure quality assurance and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Registered with ARRT (R), in good standing.
Certification in CT (R.T.(R) (CT)) required within one year of hire.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical requirements include standing, walking, lifting patients, and manipulating equipment. PPE is used as per standard precautions.
