Overview
HDR is looking for a Senior Construction Consultant to join our national Trenchless Services team. This role will report to the Trenchless Services Engineering Lead, with primary responsibilities supporting the execution of design and field services associated with trenchless services : engineering, design, and construction applications.

Responsibilities
Provide Construction Oversight for Trenchless installations.
Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts.
Conduct daily reviews of deliverables for trenchless construction activities.
Conduct site visits during preliminary engineering efforts.
Conduct Route Assessments for trenchless aspects of Pipeline Siting & Routing efforts.
Oversee Trenchless Construction Oversight activities (e.g., coordinating staffing, developing / reviewing CM scopes).
Interface with clients to support Business Development for Trenchless services.
Coordinate subcontractor activities, scheduling, and quality control.
Prepare the Project Management Plan or Construction Management Plan.
Develop procedures for contracting administration activities (document, change, time, cost, quality, safety) and implement with the project team.
Perform additional construction management activities, including procurement development, schedules, subcontract scopes, subcontract terms review, value engineering, estimating, and progress reporting.
Administer and manage construction activities and monitor progress related to design requirements.
Perform value engineering and constructability reviews.
Coordinate local bidding efforts for quotes in the field.
Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
Coordinate document management and review submittals (shop drawings) and pay applications.
Prepare, issue, and negotiate Change Orders; analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
Control the project budget and schedule; coordinate quality assurance and inspection services.
Ensure subcontractor compliance with Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly).
Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science or closely related field or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts, document / time / cost / quality management, change management, safety, scheduling, and procurement.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Prolog, Primavera, Bluebeam).
Strong people skills and ability to interact with Owner, Engineer, Contractor and other project stakeholders.
Commitment to being an active participant of HDR's employee‑owned culture.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE)
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Experience with estimating, scheduling, and web‑based collaboration tools for document exchange.
