Electrical Engineer
OASYS, INC ., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Electrical Engineer to support our Army customer in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to rapid prototyping, design, testing, and documentation of UAS multirotor systems and ground support equipment. Apply engineering principles to design, fabricate, and test UAS platforms. Troubleshoot and optimize flight control, communication, and electrical system Perform on interdisciplinary teams, collaborating with mechanical, software, and systems engineers. Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation : wiring diagrams, schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, test reports, and validation plans. Support electronics design and production efforts in coordination with internal teams and external customers. Field testing and demo support. Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of electrical engineering experience OR, 6+ years relative experience in electrical engineering. Strong competency in Circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, fabrication, and procurement. PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Professional). Electronics troubleshooting, repair, and reverse engineering. Use of lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analyzers, VNAs). Object Oriented design methods and practices, including writing unit tests. Proficiency in data communication protocols (RS-232, CAN, SPI, UART, etc.). Ability to operate with professionalism and efficiency in a fast-paced, design-to-field environment. Preferred Skills
Experience with UAS / sUAS electronics systems design. Background with RTOS-based embedded systems. Competency in RF systems design. Experience with SolidWorks PDM for 3D design and configuration management. Experience in electronic packaging and thermal management for prototype and flight hardware. Familiarity with troubleshooting flight control, communication, and electrical architectures of UAS. Required Education
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree. Eligibility
