About This Role The Department of Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Health Center, College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a tenure‑ or clinical‑track, Assistant / Associate / Full Professor position in small animal general/orthopedic surgery.
Applicants will be considered for employment at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor based on academic experience and accomplishments.
Responsibilities • Participate in clinical service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, residency training, and support the scholarly and academic missions of the department and Veterinary Health Center appropriate to the appointment.
• Collaborate within an experienced team that includes five ACVS‑boarded surgeons, four surgical residents, and dedicated technical staff.
• Time allotted for ACVS/ECVS Board preparation for non‑boarded applicants.
• Service time percentages will be based on applicant preferences and departmental needs.
Minimum Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
Completed residency training in small animal surgery by the time of employment.
Demonstrated experience in small animal general and orthopedic surgery.
Knowledge and skills that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.
