Qualified candidates will have previous work experience in air quality consulting or related disciplines. We are SLR Consulting (US), a 500+ coast-to-coast team of advisory, environmental / engineering, and regulatory professionals. We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of over 30 advisory, technical environmental, and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability. Responsibilities
Analyze industrial processes and operations to quantify air pollutant emissions
Provide air quality permitting and regulatory compliance support for industrial clients
Perform emissions estimate calculations to aid in permitting, emissions inventories, and annual compliance reporting
Review federal, state, and local regulations to identify applicable requirements governing the operation of air emission sources
Prepare air quality permit applications to obtain authorization to construct and operate air pollutant emission sources
Manage tasks and communicate status with internal and external stakeholders
Prepare and use data management systems and tools to track compliance with permit requirements and air regulations and prepare compliance reports
Prepare proposals, reports and other written deliverables
Travel to clients' facilities for inspections and document review
Work within quality / budget / schedule expectations and scope-specific assignments

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $80,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location

Qualifications / Education
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical or Environmental a plus) Environmental Science, Chemistry, or related scientific field required
Knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, such as Title V, PSD, GHG Reporting, NSPS, NESHAP, RMP
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of software
Valid driver's license and ability to travel by airplane or car
Self-motivated; strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills; detail oriented
Willing and eager to learn new skills
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Excellent time management skills
Proactive in planning ahead and problem solving
Ability to interface with clients and internal stakeholders
Preferred
Air pollutant emission source calculations using mass balance, emission factors, and / or process simulation
Experience with Federal and State Air Permitting
Compliance reporting, including criteria pollutant and GHG emission inventories
Air quality regulatory analysis (state regulations and federal Clean Air Act program standards)
Project management experience (e.g. setting up projects and executing within scope, schedule, and budget constraints)
Supplemental experience in non-air quality environmental programs (SPCC, Stormwater, RMP, etc.) is a plus
