Manufacturing Team Lead

Role The Manufacturing Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient, and quality manufacturing of products. As a working lead, the position will coordinate daily activities of assigned full‑time and temporary employees, provide necessary training on processes, and work with the Production Manager to meet quality, safety, schedule adherence, operational efficiency, and production transaction accuracy goals.
Direct production team in the efficient operation of the batching or filling/packaging area as assigned.
Provide daily direction and training to area employees.
Communicate the daily production schedule, daily expectations, and delegate work to area employees as needed.
Fill in as needed in the assigned batching or filling/packaging areas to complete the production schedule.
Ensure work order compliance and accurate Syspro transactions by regularly monitoring transaction accuracy.
Train new employees in the operation of assigned batching or filling/packaging equipment.
Responsible for Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE) performance of assigned production lines.
Coordinate quick and efficient line changeovers to maximize uptime (meet standards).
Collect measurable and meaningful key performance metrics, analyze results, and make process improvement recommendations based on the data.
Lead safety awareness and compliance for the team by enforcing OSHA regulations and company policies.
Recommend production department improvements to increase safety awareness.
Ensure adherence to customer and plant quality specifications through enforcement of plant quality policy (SOPs, work instructions, documented specifications, etc.).
Direct daily housekeeping efforts in the area.

Qualifications
Strong communication and training skills.
Intermediate to advanced skills in equipment setup process execution and resolution skills in manufacturing operations.
Ability to provide direction and lead a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Proven problem‑solving skills to address and direct a team when schedule changes occur.
5+ years of previous manufacturing experience.
Team Lead experience strongly preferred.
Forklift certified (or eligible).
