Job Title SPE MMIC Design Engineer
Job Description As part of a dynamic team, the Senior Principal Design Engineer will develop MMIC amplifiers and modules. The candidate should be capable of architecting, designing, laying out, measuring, and productizing GaAs and GaN-based MMICs, with a focus on frequencies above 30GHz.
Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert in GaAs and GaN technologies and MMICs.
Lead IC development from concept to productization.
Design, layout, and characterize high-frequency ICs in the lab.
Manage projects, support customers, and collaborate with test and application engineers.
Qualifications
Experience in designing GaAs and GaN MMIC amplifiers.
Deep knowledge of FET physics and operation.
Familiarity with power and distributed amplifier design techniques.
Understanding of GaAs and GaN technology landscapes and foundry options.
Proven track record in mmWave, RF, and analog IC design.
Proficiency with ADS and E&M modeling tools (Momentum, HFSS, Sonnet, etc.).
Hands-on ability to characterize products in the lab.
Capacity to support products throughout development cycles.
Strong communication skills across technical and management levels.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Educational and experience requirements: B.S. plus 15 years, M.S. plus 13 years, or Ph.D. plus 10 years of IC design experience.
