Job Title: Manager - Director of Marine Services
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Subsidiary: AOR international, LLC

Job Status: Regular Full-Time
Position Overview The Director of Marine Services is entrusted with comprehensive leadership and operational management in underwater services, focusing on strategic planning, safety, regulatory compliance, and client relationship management. This role involves overseeing a spectrum of services such as infrastructure inspections, underwater quality assurance, ship husbandry, light underwater construction, and diving support for MEC and UXO projects.
Key Responsibilities 1. Leadership & Management
Direct the strategic planning and operational execution of the Dive Program, ensuring excellence in safety measures, technical quality, and team performance.
Supervise, mentor, and implement training programs for a diversified team to enhance diving techniques, operational efficiency, and safety standards.
Coordinate employee certifications and manage physicals for both Topside and Diver teams to guarantee compliance with safety protocols.
2. Project Management
Lead and supervise complex underwater projects involving structural inspections, research studies, ship husbandry, light maintenance / construction, and UXO / MEC environmental initiatives.
Oversee project lifecycles including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management, ensuring that all operations are in line with industry standards and regulations.
Maintain robust project cost tracking and invoicing procedures, collaborate with project administrators for financial updates, and manage comprehensive reporting.
3. Technical Expertise
Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA diving standards, ASCE guidelines, ADCI requirements, and Department of Defense safety regulations.
Leverage cutting-edge methodologies and support hydrographic surveys tailored to project-specific scopes.
4. Business Development
Lead initiatives to identify and secure opportunities in the government and commercial sectors for UXO / MEC and underwater engineering projects.
Develop compelling proposals and presentations to enhance the company's market positioning and support the operations by assisting in estimations.
5. Client & Stakeholder Relations
Act as the primary liaison with clients, government entities, and partners, fostering strong business relationships.
Deliver expert consultations, craft engaging presentations, and ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment.
6. Compliance & Safety
Develop and enforce program standards with a focus on safety protocols, regulatory adherence, and environmental considerations.
Oversee emergency response and safety training, ensuring preparedness across all operations and proactively managing company and annual diver ADCI certifications.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Marine Engineering.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
NHI bridge inspection coursework / experience is preferred
Certifications & Experience
ADCI Certification and a willingness to attend bridge inspection training courses.
10+ years in marine engineering or construction, diving operations, and project management.
Extensive experience in managing underwater MEC and UXO projects, with a proven track record in strategic business growth within government contracting.
Skills
Strong leadership and communication skills, with proficiency in report writing and presentations.
Exceptional relationship-building capabilities, ensuring effective interaction with clients and all levels of management.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adept at multitasking and time management.
Other Requirements
Ability to travel to project sites and office locations as necessary
Capability to manage work productivity from remote offices and adapt to flexible work hours.
