Job Summary The Human Research Program Manager is responsible for the review, management, coordination, and promotion of human subject research within the Human Research Protections Program (HRPP) at UT Southwestern. This position operates with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment and authority in directing program operations.

Job Duties
Direct, analyze, coordinate, and evaluate operations and procedures of the HRPP
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external departments and agencies involved in human subject research oversight
Establish program goals and objectives; oversee program evaluation and quality control activities
Supervise program staff and manage schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals
Recommend and develop new policies and procedures to improve program effectiveness
Plan and coordinate special events, participate in conferences, and present program data
Ensure the design and execution of internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
Promote research collaboration across investigators, departments, and institutions
Organize meetings, seminars, and conferences; manage internal and external communications
Develop and deliver educational programs for investigators, research personnel, and staff
Stay current with regulatory, scientific, and technical developments related to human subject research
Serve on institutional committees as appropriate
Perform other duties as assigned
