Micron Technology, a global leader in memory and storage innovation , is embarking on an ambitious $15 billion expansion in Boise, Idaho —home to one of the most advanced semiconductor fabrication facilities in the United States. With DRAM production planned for the second half of the decade, Micron is seeking a Senior CMP Equipment Engineer to help drive its nanotechnology-driven manufacturing operations.
The Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) process is at the heart of wafer-level fabrication, ensuring smooth, defect-free surfaces for nanoscale circuit patterning. In this role, you will install, qualify, and optimize cutting-edge CMP tools in a brand-new cleanroom environment. Your work will directly influence wafer yield, product reliability, and the performance of advanced DRAM memory products.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee installation, qualification, and performance optimization of CMP tools.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure maximum uptime.
Partner with process engineers to resolve wafer yield and surface defect challenges.
Leverage SPC, DOE, and data analytics to enhance CMP process performance.
Collaborate with global vendors to drive continuous equipment improvements.
Support training programs during a 4+ month onboarding in Taiwan before transitioning to Boise operations.
