Senior Lead Virtual Designer – Mechanical Piping or Plumbing

Position Summary:
Produce digital mockups of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems based on designs developed by internal or external teams.
Responsibilities
Lead constructability on larger, complex assigned projects.
Partner with design & modeling teams to incorporate constructability knowledge early, minimizing model rework.
Lead communication among project team members to ensure successful delivery, addressing concerns promptly.
Provide material, content, and feedback to applicable team members as needed.
Lead final trade coordination and sign‑off process, collaborating with the General Contractor.
Contribute to design pull schedule to direct model development and meet deliverables.
Manage resources assigned to the project.
Participate in conceptual design efforts to promote modular construction and constructability standards.
Manage project budget and costs.
Build and maintain client relationships.
Ensure Connected Solutions where applicable.
Perform additional assignments as requested.
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to write, edit and proofread content.
Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents.
Current knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal trades and field installation methods.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to coordinate projects.
Strong multi‑tasking and prioritization skills.
Ability to interpret the Construction Schedule to integrate a design pull schedule.
Ability to train less‑experienced detailers.
Experience with Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD.
What You Bring to the Table
BS or BA in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
7+ years of relevant experience, including managing projects and leading people.
