Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide, delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel on five continents for a diverse customer portfolio. Summary The Cyber Security & Control Systems (CSCS) Storage & Virtual (S&V) Program Support Engineer is an on-site position at Joint Base San Antonio, TX. The role supports the Server Consolidation Environment (SCE) and Air Force Provisional Enterprise Data Center (AFPEDC) programs. Responsibilities include testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions, ensuring system performance, and applying industry-standard practices. The engineer will collaborate with various teams and serve as a liaison for AFLCMC/HNI. The primary focus is supporting the SCE hosted virtual infrastructure, providing virtual servers and backup support at Lackland AFB. The architect will deliver on-site and remote engineering and integration services for system architecture, solution design, performance audits, documentation, and data migration. Additional duties involve site audits, technical account management, cybersecurity recommendations for ATO within RMF, and travel within the U.S. Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions: Integration of new applications, including design reviews, BOM preparation, and coordination with application teams or contractors. Documentation of system changes and as-built drawings. Planning for system expansion or contraction. Supporting onboarding and migration of applications for the PMO. Providing VMware, Cisco UCS, SAN, and Commvault engineering support. Conducting IA assessments and remediation. Monitoring system performance regularly. Resolving deployment issues in production. Reviewing contractor submittals and evaluating architecture. Supporting architecture creation, testing, and implementation of changes. Traveling as needed within the U.S. Providing troubleshooting and system management support. Leadership Responsibilities: Supervising and leading Field Operations SMEs at Hanscom AFB. Providing performance and technical updates. Performing additional duties as assigned. Risk & Compliance Management: Ensuring compliance with DoD, Air Force, and industry security standards. Maintaining operational readiness. Assisting with risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Qualifications
Skills and Knowledge: Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong technical knowledge of network and system infrastructure. Ability to work independently and in teams. Experience managing subcontractors and vendors. Familiarity with DoD & U.S. Air Force procedures and AFIN. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years of experience. Experience with enterprise storage, SAN, NAS, and migration. Supporting DoD Information Network or AFIN experience. Security clearance: SECRET or higher. At least two of the following certifications or experiences: Dell/EMC SAN, VMware, HP Blade, Commvault, Brocade, NetApp, Microsoft Server, CyberArk, Cisco, Network+. Pay And Benefits
