Primarily 1st shift; variable based on 24/7 operations
Overview: Seeking an experienced and dynamic
Nurse Manager
to lead patient care operations within University Hospital. This role oversees approximately
80 staff members across 18 OR suites . Strong leadership skills required;
experience in a union environment preferred.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, manage, and evaluate patient care operations on a 24-hour basis.
Develop short-, mid-, and long-term goals aligned with the Medical Center’s mission, vision, and values.
Monitor outcomes, identify challenges, and implement solutions for improvement.
Manage, coach, and evaluate performance of patient care staff.
Promote collaboration across patient care departments for seamless operations.
Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practice standards.
Identify and implement opportunities for improvement in patient care and processes.
Lead initiatives to address and correct factors contributing to undesirable outcomes.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s in Nursing or related field preferred.
License:
Current and valid Ohio RN license.
Experience:
3–5 years of clinical and management experience in a relevant care setting; minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
Skills:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
