Job Overview
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a travel job in Alameda, California. The position is a 13‑week assignment operating 8‑hour evening shifts, for a total of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests.
Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed.
Correctly interpret doctors’ written instructions.
Appropriately position patients to scan specific areas of their bodies.
Use computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients’ internal organs and tissues.
Administer radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues.
Evaluate CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
Follow safety procedures when working with radiation.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Understand and use the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements
1 year of experience as a CT Technologist.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
ARRT (CT) national certification with registration in computed tomography.
State‑specific licensing when required.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop as needed.
Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
