RN Health Care Facility Surveyor - Massachusetts (#1158)

Impact Recruiting Solutions is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor for a Quality Improvement Consulting Company, supporting internal and external customers nationwide in a technically exciting environment.

Requirements:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

Completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and passing the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).

At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.

Current RN licensure.

Proven ability to make independent decisions and manage the survey process effectively.

Ability to prioritize tasks independently and collaboratively.

Effective communication skills for discussing conflicts and seeking assistance.

Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000/year.

Responsibilities:

The role is remote with up to 75% travel. The Surveyor conducts various surveys (re-certification, complaint, revisits) for long-term and other healthcare facilities nationwide, applying approved protocols to assess compliance with regulations.

Specific activities include:

Conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified facilities to ensure federal compliance.

Preparing for surveys, including off-site prep, facility tours, care observations, record reviews, and interviews.

Assessing aspects from quality of care to physical environment.

Communicating deficiencies to key personnel and during exit conferences.

Determining acceptability of correction plans.

Following up to ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Participating in training and work groups as needed.
