Brief Description: The Fred Finch San Diego Dual Diagnosis Program is a 14-bed residential treatment facility located in Lemon Grove with an associated non-public school, offering integrated mental health services. The program provides a safe, stable, and structured environment through staffing, milieu culture, mental health interventions, and behavior modification.
Join our team as a Residential Counselor in San Diego.
What You Will Do The Residential Counselor is responsible for independently performing counseling duties to support residential and housing services. The role involves exercising judgment and initiative, receiving coaching and guidance, and understanding operating procedures and policies of the program.
Shifts Available Full-time, hours and days TBD.

Requirements For the Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), candidates must meet education and experience requirements outlined by California regulation, including:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Valid Child Development Teaching Permit
12 semester units in Early Childhood Education, Adolescent Development, or Foster and Kinship Care Education, plus 100 hours working with youth
Certificate as an Alcohol or Drug Counselor, with experience
Vocational Training certificate or equivalent experience
Previous employment at a group home or residential center for at least one year
Must be at least 21 years old.
Licenses and Certifications Valid California Driver’s License, a good driving record, and a registered and insured vehicle are required.
