Base pay: $139,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr.

At Meta, we are building the future of human connection and the technology that enables it. This role tackles challenging mechanical/electrical design problems for robotics, aiming to balance ergonomics, performance, reliability, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

Design mechanical and electrical systems for robotics, balancing ergonomics, performance, and reliability.

Support part fabrication and custom sub‑assemblies with internal and external partners.

Assemble robot prototypes, constructing sub‑assemblies into full system prototypes.

Perform failure analysis: build test fixtures, design tests, create test plans, conduct tests, analyze data, and refine designs.

Collaborate closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver technical solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of experience in Mechanical/Electrical Design Engineering with machine design or electrical component development.

B.S. degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience designing electromechanical assemblies (robotics, automotive, aerospace, automation).

Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS, Siemens NX, or similar CAD tools.

Experience with prototyping processes and materials.

Experience with embedded systems and communication protocols.

Experience in tolerance analysis, GD&T.

Preferred Qualifications

Simulation experience with finite element analysis (structural, modal).

Familiarity with mass‑production manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC, sheet metal).

Experience in robotics and consumer electronics product design.

Experience in power electronics and battery management programming.

Experience with automation equipment design and custom machine builds.
